CR and I build a deck - March 26, 2004

CR had worked all night at his job at the Duke/Duchess Station in Johnstown, OH - then drove down to Adelphi and started on the deck by himself. I was able to leave work early and this is how much he had done by himself in about 3 hours!! I quickly fixed lunch and then we got to work - we would work until we were all most out of lumber and then I'd make a run into Circleville for more 2x6x12's at Sutherland's Lumber. I had bought the material in December (on sale of course) and then waited until the spring to begin. We did pretty good and the rain held off until we were almost done. The patio furniture was a "deal" I picked up at Lowe's - a $240 set for only $60!!

This photo and the group shot at the top of the page were taken in August 1991 at Charlie and Dottie's house. I was 36 and CR would have been 12.
